The Race Engineering Academy is proud to announce it’s next course, Introduction to Race Engineering, to be held in Sydney on the 13th and 14th of August.
This two-day course has been, almost entirely, prepared by Blake Smith. Blake is one the most highly reputed race engineers in the V8 Supercar category, having worked for Tekno and HRT – so it’s a real pleasure to have him contribute to this course and further courses in the future. He has won many races during his eight year’s experience in the category. He has also been a race engineer in the USA in Indycar, which I’m sure the attendees will be keen to pick his brain on.
The Introduction to Race Engineering is a practical two-day workshop and we believe it will help the attendees understand the detail to which the Race Engineer must focus in order to provide the team with the best engineering support. My favourite sections are Tyre Management, Thermal Management and Radio Communications.
You can not find this type of information in a book and it would take year’s of experience in a race team to learn this material and it’s significance.
This is truly a great opportunity for anyone looking to improve their skills as a Race Engineer. We are really excited to be holding this course this year as it represents the core substance of the Race Engineering Academy.
We have introduced a more advantageous price for students ($800) and a discount for anyone who registers before the end of the month ($1100). Otherwise, the price is the standard two-day workshop price of $1300. All prices include GST. Aside from a quality and content-packed course, we will supply a course book, lunch, snacks and dinner on the Saturday night.
We are limiting the numbers to ensure a good presenter-to-attendee ratio.
Don’t hesitate to contact Dejan Ninic if you have any questions. Also, let Dejane know if you need a more detailed course summary.
